So, today was what they call family day (for us LDS people it means bring your wife and kids...for everyone else it means bring your parents). It was a lot of fun to go and see what Eric is going to be doing and where he is going to be for the next year.
First we went to the students induction into the Dental Profession. They gave us a lot of stats and info on his schedule and everything. They even had the school councelors and those type of people get up and tell us to refer our dental student to them if we feel they need it. Then they had the "White Coat Ceremony" which is the official induction in. Here is a video and some pictures.

Then we had a whole school picnic which was a lot of fun. We got to meet a lot of people and hang out with those we already are friends with. Porter got a crash course, literally, in playground safety. He stood right in front of the slide as a kid was coming down and they headed eachother, and now he has a goose egg. Luckily someone grabbed him before he was taken out by the swings. After that we had to come home to take a nap.
We also went to the school after naptime and ate the best ice cream in town, and then went on a short tour of the school. It was a lot of fun to see all of Eric's tools and drills and molding stuff and his work station. Porter especially liked the tool that blows air (you know like when they want to dry off your teeth or something, water also comes out of it too but not today).
It looks like Eric is going to have a lot of fun at school and we are all so excited for him.

Eric looks so great in that white coat! How exciting to be starting this. Your family loosk GREAT... and pregnancy suites you :) Good luck with school and the baby! Do you know what you are having, or are you waiting?
We like keeping it a suprise.
This brings back a lot of memories. It's an exciting time. Our Dental School days were some of the best (and worst) times of our young married life. Mostly they were the best. Good luck to you Eric! How lucky you are to have a good LDS group in your school. This will be helpful to you and Melissa. Study hard, and pray harder!

Congrats to Eric! And congrats on the baby! I found your blog through Nikki's. I haven't heard anything from you for a while so I was happy to find your blog.
This made me miss you all a lot! But I am so happy for you. Everyone looks amazing, as always.
As a side note, I have to say... I voted for Adelaide Mae. :) Mwa haha. Love you all. Miss you!
